Charlie Rabbit teaches us that some things take time!  When Snail fancies a pizza, his friend Charlie offers to make him one.  Imagine Snail’s surprise when he turns up that evening to find Charlie planting tomato plants; “Well you want tomato sauce on your pizza don’t you?!” asks Charlie.  It takes many months to procure all the ingredients needed as Charlie teaches Snail that pizza isn’t such a fast food after all!   Written with humour, as impatient Snail almost gives up hope of ever eating this pizza.  They finally lay the table and the two friends enjoy their fresh baked meal under the stars. Subject = Food provenance - pizza ingredients - cooking - today, yesterday and tomorrow.
