This Les Puces French Hybrid course is based around the bilingual story 'Petit Paul veut devenir pompier (Little Paul wants to be a firefighter)'  You will learn about clothes and the verb 'to wear', and as well as learning French you will be thinking about how we treat clothes.  Start by designing a T-Shirt and displaying it alongside other clothes in a shop window.  Count how many clothes Paul has - maybe his favourites can be repaired to make them last longer.  When he outgrows them he can give them away or take them to a charity shop.  Help Paul tidy his room and hang up his many clothes (how many clothes does one person need?!). Alongside a Spot the Difference and a Word Search these worksheets suit many ages and levels.  Don't rush!  A three year old will enjoy the story, song and dance and attempt the first three worksheets - then come back later to work further through the workbook.  The last worksheets are suitable for an 11 year old.    
 
You receive a full colour 46 page workbook containing a story in English and in French; set of 10 worksheets - including a game; vocabulary sheets; song lyrics;  progress card and stickers.  You also get a practical project kit.  In this module you make a dress-up book.  Use the stickers to dress the characters in the book.  Whilst you are having fun choosing what each character should wear, you will be learning the verb conjugation for 'porter'.  You work through the course with the aid of our online portal.  Once you have made your purchase you quickly receive log-in details to access the Les Puces Club area on our website and full access for 2 Years' to the 'Petit Paul Pompier - Little Paul firefighter' module.  Here you meet Maitresse Maddie and listen to her read the story in English and in French.  Listen and repeat as she helps you learn the vocabulary for the module,  and watch as Maddie works through each worksheet with you. You can learn the song and dance for the module plus move on to the Sing-along and karaoke versions of the song.  
 
In this module you will learn about clothes and which bit of the body they go on with a firefighter theme.  Learn different ways to say 'he needs' whilst finding out what Paul needs to become a real firefighter.  How to start a basic conversation about yourself  is also covered in this module.  The 10 worksheets progress from designing a T-shirt and designing a clothes boutique window to saying phrases like ' he needs a jacket' and working out which part of the body a piece of clothing goes on.  There is a game to dress your shop dummies before your opponent and  listening to a passage from the book. You learn lots of useful vocabulary such as T-shirt, shirt, glove, shoe, hat as well as more advanced words like firefighter, fire-engine and fire hose!
 
The portal contains 23 teaching and instructional videos in six sections to guide you through the course; listen to the story in French and English as you follow in your book; learn the key vocabulary and copy the pronunciation; copy the song actions and lyrics and then try the sing-along and karaoke; complete the 10 worksheets, which always include a fun game; lastly, complete the practical project which for this module is making a Petit Paul bilingual flip-book about clothing. There are colourful stickers to help dress the characters and you learn the verb 'porter - to wear'.  The project is a great reminder of all the lessons learned.  There are also vocabulary sheets, a lyrics sheet and all the worksheets are available to download should you want extra copies, plus a extra pages to download for your project book.
 
The course is designed to last a minimum of  7 x 1 hour sessions (although we recommend you do a little each day at your own pace) and is ideal for ages 3-11 years with parental support where necessary.
