Join the Cheeky Crow as he sets off on an adventure through all kinds of weather! From bright sunshine and blue skies to rain, wind, storms, snow and fog, the Cheeky Crow discovers that the weather can change quickly — and that every kind of weather can bring its own adventure.
 
The Cheeky Crow begins his day in the countryside, enjoying the sunshine and beautiful blue sky. But as he flies around, the weather begins to change. He gets caught in wind, rain and a storm, encounters umbrellas, snow and even a snowman, before eventually finding his way home again.  Along the way, children discover a rich collection of weather vocabulary and phrases in a fun and memorable story context.
 
The story provides a wonderful context for developing French vocabulary and phrases around weather, seasons, colours, nature and everyday activities. Children hear and practise language such as the sun is shining, the weather is nice, it's windy, it's raining, it's snowing, it's cold, it's stormy and there is a beautiful rainbow.
 
The accompanying song gives children plenty of opportunities to hear, repeat and sing familiar weather phrases. Children are asked about the weather and practise describing what they can see, including sunshine, rain, wind, storms, snow and cold weather.  
 
But The Cheeky Crow Weather is much more than a vocabulary workbook. The story encourages children to notice how quickly the weather can change and to think about how different types of weather affect what we do, how we feel and the activities we choose. The Dive Deeper section takes this idea further, encouraging children to think about weather they enjoy, activities they can do in different weather and the ways people experience changing weather throughout the year.
